It has a 2.25 diesel built in 1995 and approximately 30K miles on it so far.
The following has been done in the last three months and most in the last 200 miles, most provided by Rupert Leng at Leng Landrover:
New Starter Assemble from Battery straight through ignition switch, and new starter motor, including a new larger battery.
New electrical wiring to be certain the change of Petrol to
Diesel engine was safe and sound and confident.
New rear chasis cross member (rear section)
New parabolic springs on rear
New Brake Assembly
New Centre and Tail exhaust sections
Noisekiller soundproofing Kit
New Locks
Full tune-up less than 200 miles ago. (Change of all oils, re-greased all parts)
This Landy is very reliable and runs nicely. It has become very tight in handling since Rupert from Leng Landrover worked on it (after I told him this was going to be transporting my two year old son around ;-)
The gearbox is sound and the transfer box works fine. It passed the MOT emissions test easily. Although the body is not perfect there is no significant damage. The interior is in good condition.
This vehicle was bought as a toy to entertain my two-year old son and myself; but it?s become clear it?s simply not practical to keep while living in the city centre and another parking ticket is going to kill me. I'm not at all excited about losing this friend, so please only serious inquiries.
