1986 Land Rover 90 1986 Land Rover 90 4C SW (County Station Wagon)
Exportable to USA, Ideal for project or spares / repairs.

Here I have for sale an original 1986 Land Rover 90 4C SW. This is the second time I have been the keeper of this vehicle, I therefore know a little about it's past. It currently has installed the 2,495cc Petrol engine with the original LT77 Gearbox. See below details about the engine (non-runner).

If you're looking at the pictures, it is obvious to see the vehicle is a little sad. It needs an owner who is looking for a project to restore this vehicle to it's former glory/ or most likely better. The vehicle is fairly unmolested and has original running gear (Axle's, transfer box, engine, bulhead, roof liner, roof etc..) Therefore I know it will be good for export to USA, especially with the recent "tightening up" of legislation.

I have taken close up snapshots of the common places for corrosion (more pics to go on Photobucket - link coming soon).

The chassis is surprisingly in good nic!
The Main Columns are tiptop (pic8)
Take a look at the pics of the front outriggers (solid) (pic4) beneath the front bulkhead.
Outrigger/rafter tube at rear wheel arch is solid (pic5).
The rear cross member isn't awful, but it's not great. If you plan on doing this project properly, I'd hope you to replace it (pic3+7)
Goose necks all good (pic6)

The bulkhead is okay, it will require a bit of work. But if you're okay at welding, then you won't have a problem.
The top corners (above bonnet, below windscreen) have been replaced in the past. Tidy job.
The foot wells need attention. Even if you wanted to do the project well, you'd be fine cutting out small sections. Or you can just use the standard repair panels from - There are bloomin' good quality and easy to use.

Unfortunately the engine has not been running for about 2.5 years. A previous keeper has initiated the rebuild of the engine and has started to disassemble It. I have not attempted to get it running. Please assume this engine does not work. Ancillaries are intact.

Please note, there may be an opportunity to buy a ready to go Disco V8 EFI (including loom and connected) WITH connected AUTO Gearbox

Currently it has the original LT77 Gearbox. I know this is in good condition - I used it a while back.

It's obvious - it's not nice, it is flaky because of a previous owners bad preparation work.

Interior & Exterior
The interior is incomplete. For example the seats have been stripped out ready for new ones; rear safari door is missing; Plastic wheel arch trim piece missing; o/s sill chequer plate missing; Light lenses and few dash bits.

All in all, this won't be too bad of a project. I'd advise a dude to "know how to restore" before he submits a bid. I don't have any money/time to do this, otherwise I'd do it myself.
