1995 Land Rover Defender 110 Ex-Royal Navy Bomb Squad. In perfect running order, professionally maintained and serviced since we bought her in 2002 and we have all the receipts for the work spent.
It needs cosmetic work doing to the body - nearside: front wing needs replacing and roof including roof glass needs repair. The basic colours are Royal Navy Bomb-squad colours: Navy blue body with red wings front and back. It has different-coloured doors are as a result of all doors being replaced (except for the front near-side door which will need replacing at some point).
This is a really quick 110 with loads more torque than standard. All the garages have commented on how much grunt it's got - it almost rivals a V8! This is down to the Jeremy Fearn additions and has returned 28 mpg regularly.
Apart from the rear cross-member it's totally solid. It has been 100% reliable, was used for over five years as our every-day vehicle until we bought our Mitsubishi Delica 4x4. We can't justify keeping her in storage and reluctantly been put on the market this week. It was this or my original Series III but the older wins on sentimental value.
We have added:
Jeremy Fearn tune-up including Intercooler and full Stainless Steel exhaust system, Scorpion Racing rock and tree sliders, new Ashcroft gearbox, before and after rust-proofing, Old-man Emu suspension and a heavy duty clutch.
As well as:
Salisbury Diff. Mantek Snorkel and raised axle breathers, INSA Turbo special track tyres (plenty tread left). Diff. / Steering Guards and front light guards. Cobra bucket seats and CB radio fittings (minus CB radio). High-lift jack, roof-bars, checker plate wings and bonnet, dual battery with split charger, internal window grills, and drilled and grooved disks, EBS Green Stuff Brake-pads.
It has been in storage since January so the MOT and tax has expired, but if you're interested in buying it, I’ll get it MOT’d (included in the price).
