Fuel: Petrol
Mileage: ???
Drive side: LHD

2000 Land Rover Series 2a I'm the forth owner. Since I live in FL in winter she's been garaged for 6 months for all 9 years I've owned her. She's very reliable and I drive her at least 3 times a week when I'm up north. I replaced the entire brake system, radiator, gas tank and other misc. items. The original tan color was wearing off, so I researched the original LR Bronze Green paint and had it custom mixed and applied two years ago. The tires only have about 200 miles on them. Oil and filter were replaced at least once per year and I have all maintenance records from my mechanic who drove and worked on Land Rovers in the "Old Country." He says she's a great example of a Series LR.

The last owner, from Huron, OH had a lot of restoration work done and gave me many parts. He bought it from the estate of a man who died in a plane crash. That man only owned the LR a year or so, but he had also done extensive restoration. Most significantly, he added a Fairy Overdrive which works perfectly and allows 55 mph highway speed.

The first owner was a farmer from central Ohio. You might find some original manure somewhere on the undercarriage.

Alice B. Toklas, which is what my wife named her, looks great but has "character" dents in the left front wing and a few other minor creases and dents. The side lights on the front wings are not functional. I have the interior liner parts from the last owner, but I never put them in. Never saw the need although I added black i/o carpeting to all door panels and new tunnel cover to tone down the classic LR din.

Well, that's about all I can think of, but you might want to know that I have about $10,000 in this very lovable vehicle. That's not counting what the last two guys put in her. I'm selling her because we have too many vehicles and I'm getting quite old. I don't want some auctioneer hawking her after I'm gone.

Asking price: $$8000 open to offers
